I have been working full time in photography for the last eight years, mostly shooting landscapes – the moodier the better. I love flat light as it allows the creation of muted images which fit most home designs. I also shoot outdoor weddings, families, sports, real estate, commercial and abstract (ICM) images, all within the landscape. It is probably easier to say what I don't photograph, which is babies and flowers. This was never a dream or a goal but I moved to the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand and I was gobsmacked everyday at what I got to look at in my backyard; glaciers, mountains, rivers, wild coastline, lakes. It seemed a natural step to pick up a camera and haven't looked back since. I lived in helicopters for a good many years and is still my fave way to shoot!
