Peter Evans

I am an ex-Australian army military police special investigator / scenes of crime examiner and photographer. During that period, I did not have much interest in 'normal' photography due to the intense nature of the work. Also, during that time, we operated in wet darkrooms often without the normal safety precautions. After 26 years of service, the first six in heavy main battle tanks, I was discharged and took up a position as a Manager with a private national security company, which overused me. I departed the Company and won an Investigative position with the Federal Department of Immigration; this lasted for four years before I was discharged on medical grounds. I needed to occupy myself, so I sought voluntary positions in areas that interested me, such as bushwalking and camping, motorsport, and Australian Rules Football. I also began to regain my interest in digital photography, mainly at first to keep my mind active and help me relax and get outdoors. I do not have a specific genre but tend to give anything a go, from weddings (that didn't last long, too stressful for me) to all types of mainly outdoor sport, portraiture, all the scapes, nature, wildlife, the occasional street and event etc.
