Steven served 29 years protecting public lands, natural, cultural and historic resources. Today, Steven is in constant search for opportunities to promote conservation of public lands and resources through photography. Steven calls it "conservation photography with a purpose". Our public lands and resources are irreplaceable treasures held in trust for us all, yet constantly under threat of exploitation and privatization. As most of these lands and resources are located in the Western United States, it is paramount that people, some who may not fully understand or appreciate the value of these wide open spaces to the health of our culture and nation, are able to see images of these lands so that they, too, can feel a sense of ownership and a desire to do what ever it takes to keep these lands and resources in public stewardship now and for future generations.
