I started with an entry level Nikon D3000 with an 18-55mm f/3.5/5.6 kit lens, recording my images in jpeg and the camera set to 'Auto'. In 2013 I purchased a second-hand Nikon D300 together with a second-hand Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens and began shooting in 'raw', using Lightroom 4 to process and manage the images. In April 2015 I purchased a Nikon D800 full-frame camera along with a 16-35mm f/4 lens, again both second hand and in April 2017 I traded in the D300 and 800 for a D810. I had to upgrade to Lightroon 6 as LR4 did not support the D810. Over the years I have accumulated a number of filters including a polariser , soft and hard graduated filters together with a Lee 'big stopper' and 'little stopper'. I have also swapped the Nikon 16-35mm lens for a much sharper Sigma 24-35mm and invested in a Tamron 70-200mm telephoto lens.
