Henry Frakes

I started my journey in Secondary School, having a passion for photography from an early age. Having studied the works of the great black and white photographers for the four years prior to university, I was solely dedicated to refining the craft, having control throughout the entire process. Spending my time photographing, processing film and and enlarging the prints, it allowed an understanding of the entire process, finding pleasure in spending my life in the red glow of the darkroom. Whilst I now find digital photography to be my medium of choice, the process and passion remains the same. By finding a creative and unique way of capturing a scene and focusing on every element, from the taking of the photograph through to the post-processing, editing, manipulating and printing, I am impassioned to refine my skillset and grow as a photographer.
