Greg Vaughn

I'm a photographer, workshop instructor, writer, traveler, husband, and father. After living in Hawaii for many years, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and now live in Eugene, Oregon, USA. I've done a lot of different kinds of photography during my career, including photojournalism, public relations, and advertising. I now concentrate on combining my love of photography, travel, and the natural world with leading photography workshops and sharing my insights with location guides for avid photographers. When not leading workshops, I work at producing quality images for stock and fine art prints. I am the author and photographer of two guidebooks covering the Pacific Northwest USA. Photographing Oregon won the Independent Book Publishers Association Ben Franklin Award for best travel book of 2010. Photographing Washington, a photographer's guide to The Evergreen State, won awards from both the IBPA and NATJA. FarCountry Press recently published a collection of my photos of my home state titled Oregon: A Photographic Journey. My latest project is a photographer's guide to the Oregon Coast for PhotoHound.co. More details about the books are at www.GregVaughn.com/books. My photography has won several awards from the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW). I'm also a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) and the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
