I have always had a knack for photography but never really realized how much I loved it until my husband gifted me my first camera for our anniversary. I quickly began focusing on taking photos of random things when I learned this is what I wanted to do for a career. Not long after I took many photography courses and got my certification in digital photography but I also took it further and got a diploma in digital photography. That’s when my first business started, I became a Pet Photographer and knew this was very important to me. Not long after I had started in Pet Photography I purchased a better camera and have worked at achieving better photos. A couple of years after I started my business our family began to grow and we had our first son. We ended up moving and needing to start all over again. I decided to put photography down for awhile. It ended up being a long while as I was enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. Since then we have had two other children making our family complete and I realized how much I missed snapping photos. Recently I decided to get back into it and took a different route to focus more on Nature Photography which has turned into my bigger passion. I find so much joy when I can get out and shoot the world around me…God’s creation. The moment I get behind my lens it’s like the whole world disappears and all I see is the beauty God created. To me that is what it really is about, being able to share the beauty of the world when there seems to be no beauty left these days. It is a good reminder that no matter what we have some peace in those still moments.
