Andre Distel

I got into photography in 2009 when I bought my first DSLR. My wife and I lived in Canada at the time and as she traveled back and forth to wrap up her studies in Germany, I had plenty of time on my own. One thing led to another and ambitions grew as I started to discover and admire the work of others. I rented every book about photography from the local library and got hooked ever since. Today, I teach photography through video tutorials, sell prints and license images to various magazines, agencies and corporations. In 2011 I had my first and so far only National Geographic Cover Photo of the Sydney Opera House.
