As I was walking along the path at Padley Gorge, this millstone caught my eye. These ancient stones are an important part of the Peak District’s history.
When observing the stone, it came to my attention that its shape was a complete contrast to the winding branches above it. As I stood to admire and take the photograph, the leaves gradually fell and landed on top of the stone, providing them with a place to rest for the upcoming winter.
