Following the banks of the Normanskill Creek, these preserve trails reflect the area’s Dutch heritage, where “kill” means “creek.”
The trail leads past Normanskill Farm, a historic 1800s dairy farm established with the founding of Normansville. Today, this vibrant community hub shelters the Albany Police Mounted Unit’s horses, cows, and a wintering flock of sheep. It also hosts a dog park and community gardens, which are enclosed by the fence shown in this picture.
