After a vacation where I hadn’t managed to take many photos, my family and I arrived at the Penfef Peninsula on the final day of our trip, just before starting the journey home.
Just as I had given up hope, the Tour des Anglais appeared — not a true lighthouse, but a tower built to signal danger, specifically, the threat of English invasions! A different era.
The rocks exposed by the low tide and the clouds seemed to form subtle visual cues, guiding the eye toward the tower. I photographed it from several angles; this is the one that I feel best suits the assignment.
