Cold And Warm, Selfoss, Iceland

On every photographic journey to Iceland, I try to take a few flights in a Piper aircraft, searching for remote landscapes and unusual perspectives that would be difficult to discover—even with a drone. Flying over this extraordinary land reveals hidden patterns, colors, and details that remain invisible from the ground.

This photograph captures a fascinating section of a glacial river near Selfoss, where two contrasting shades of water flow alongside one another. Their warm and cold tones create an almost abstract composition, shaped entirely by the movement of water, ice, and sediment—a fleeting work of art created by nature.
