I was awed and amazed to see the (almost total) eclipse of August 12th. Near where I live, in Penafiel, it reached 96% coverage of the sun’s disc.
I photographed the eclipse from beginning to end using an ND 1,000,000 filter. To obtain composite images, before the eclipse, I photographed the places where the sun would pass, without using the filter. The photographs I present now are images merged in post-processing. I used a Canon 77D with a 35-350mm zoom lens, on a tripod.
