I had always wanted to capture the Cinque Torri, but I hadn’t had time until this year. I decided to drive down to the Dolomites in the middle of July. The weather was not stable, and I was hoping for the best weather conditions.

One day later, my alarm clock went off early in the morning. I forced myself to get up and hiked all the way up to the planned photo spot.

The hiking path was steep, exhausting, and a bit tricky. Sometimes I stumbled. After 1 1/2 hours, I finally reached my favorite destination.

The weather conditions couldn’t have been better. There was some fog in the valley, and above the Cinque Torri peaks, the sky was great.

I set up my tripod with my camera and captured this enchanting light mood, which lasted for only a few minutes.

Shortly after this unique moment, the rain came, and I had to take shelter in an alpine hut which was located a few minutes away. It was raining cats and dogs.

What a great day!
