It was so, so cold. The snow was extremely light and fluffy for the White River area, which is usually pretty warm in winter, just below freezing typically.

This morning the wind chill was brutal, which is why I knew there would not be much traffic up here to witness the sunrise. As expected, I had the whole area to myself until a little after the sun came up, and the light show against the scattered clouds was incredible. Of the few hundred shots I captured over two hours in the deep snow, I think this one with the pillowy snow and the curved lines leading the eyes up to the towering mountain above was my my favorite, among so many great moments at the mountain.
