This photo shows the sunrise in the Polish Pieniny Mountains. It had been snowing heavily for the previous few days. However, the weather forecast predicted a short “weather window” that morning, so I decided to go to the mountains with my camera.
The sun, being between the cloud base and the horizon, created an interesting, reflector-like lighting effect. The branches in the foreground, covered by icy frost, were illuminated by a warm light. This moment was very short, as the sun quickly hid behind the clouds.
