Visiting Acadia National Park for the first time with my service dog, Diesel, was an unforgettable experience. We stopped at Thunder Hole, hoping to hear the famous roar created by the crashing Atlantic waves. Instead, we were greeted by something just as remarkable—a breathtaking sunset stretching across the calm sea, offering a rare moment of stillness.

As we sat together along the rugged granite shoreline, the sun slowly slipped below the horizon, painting the sky. The weathered rocks in the foreground, sculpted by centuries of relentless Atlantic waves, stood in striking contrast to the tranquil water. As the sun slipped closer to the horizon, the shoreline became a place between endings and beginnings.
