Grazing Zebra, Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa

This was a trip to South Africa because of the impending wedding of my wife’s brother. This was my first trip to South Africa, and any person with a camera and a couple of lenses understands what a trip to South Africa can mean.

Well, I got a sister-in-law and then, through divorce, lost a sister-in-law, but this picture of a grazing zebra in the bush of the Madikwe Nature Reserve remains. I like the shot not only because of the zebra, but because of the starkness of the surroundings. There had been a fire in the area, which you can see through the trees. It was a great setting to catch the zebra in.
