While waiting for a friend to arrive so we could photograph some wildlife, I began playing with Intentional Camera Movement, attempting to create a painterly image of the trees in the snow. ICM is a process that I’d been experimenting with in various scenes, so it felt like a good time to work with the technique again.
The light was beautiful and soft, highlighting each bare tree’s individual characteristics, while together they formed a beautiful stand in the snow. The gentle, quiet feel was exactly what I wanted to achieve with this painterly ICM image.
