“When I was seeing this scene unfold and seeing the final image, it reminded me of one of my favorite quotes from Ansel Adams: “Sometimes I do get to places just when God’s ready to have somebody click the shutter.”

Spring was in the air on this early morning hike to a beautiful location that carries a name that isn’t as beautiful as the actual view itself.

Located in the Daniel Boone National Forest, this beautiful location is one of the many waterfalls that are located throughout the forest, and all of them are worth the travel and hike to see.

While you are hiking, you can hear the waters of the river that runs through the area and down to the waterfall. As you get closer to the location, you can hear the waters of the falls rushing, and when you approach it, you can see the vast beauty surrounding it.

I captured the image with a neutral density filter to slow the water down, but also the longer exposure helped the light in the image more. One of those perfect moments that I was fortunate to capture.

This was one of the first images I captured after an extended hiatus from shooting. Seeing this in person helped reinvigorate my passion, and showing that to people is something I love doing.”
