The Sitovo Waterfall is extremely picturesque due to the specificity of the individual rapids of the river. The waterfall is located in the Rhodope Mountains, 30 km from Plovdiv, right at the fork between the beautiful Rhodope villages of Sitovo and Lilkovo. It can be reached by a dirt but relatively flat road. The left road continues towards Sitovo, and the right one towards Lilkovo. Under the bridge at the fork, where you turn towards Lilkovo, the passing river forms a cascade of waterfalls. It consists of two falls with a total height of no more than four meters, which are relatively wide, after which the river continues its way down. A beautiful finish to the waterfall is the arch of the bridge, rising above it like a wreath.
The space around the waterfall is enclosed by steep banks. The pine trees on the sides and the moss on the river stones contrast with their green shades and, together with the water splashes in the air, create an incredible feeling of freshness. The river that feeds the waterfall is called the Dormushevska River, which in turn is formed by the confluence of two smaller rivers, Sitovska and Lilkovska. The two rivers merge at the northern foot of the Shtudgrad hill.
