The Tussocks, Mt Cook Valley, New Zealand

I was standing at the base of Mt. Cook, in New Zealand, waiting for the sunrise to illuminate the mountain top, when I began to focus on the tussocks in the valley. Their movement was mesmerizing, and the sun was choosing not to make a spectacle of itself on the mountain.

I took out my iPhone, went to the Avgcampro app, chose my settings, and began taking shots. This image strengthened my feeling of the beauty of the tussocks, with the intentional camera movement softening the stalks in front of the hills. AvgCamPro does not record the settings used.
