Jets are amazing at transporting us from one place to another. We board, entering the cocoon. We disembark into a new environment. In the cocoon, we read, sleep, drink, eat, listen to music, and watch a video. I like to look outside. You will see things you never dreamed of.
While it’s hard to get a good image out of a plane—dirty glass, wing in the way, lens capability—I don’t stop trying. There’s a landscape we never see, including this one, with Pac-Man-like figures in the water. I always look, and I am often astonished.

Lovely shot of the Peninsula! I flew recently as well and can confirm that it’s quite challenging to get a clear image from a plane… well done! I’m also an outside-looker on planes. I will happily spend an entire flight staring from the window for as long as the view isn’t completely obscured by clouds. It boggles my mind that so many people seem to have no interest in this — how often do you fly that a view from 30,000 feet is unremarkable? Anyway, lovely photo. At first I thought this was east bay in the delta area, but found it on Google Maps looking for the odd formations in the bottom left.
