Waterfalls and Swirls, Maltatal Valley, Carinthia, Austria

Actually, I had wanted to hike to a much higher waterfall last weekend, but first, I came across this little waterfall and saw the bubbles and dead wood that seemed to rotate in some way.

I made a short exposure of 1/5 sec for the waterfall and a few longer exposures using an ND filter to see which one I liked best. The 20 sec exposure was the one I chose in the end, and I merged both photos into one image in Photoshop.

After taking this photo, I continued my hike to the large waterfall called “Melnikfall”, but the photos I took there weren’t as good as this one, at least in my opinion.
