My wife and I have been on a quest for the past twelve years to visit as many U.S. National Parks as we can. So far, we have visited 55 out of the 63 existing parks. Several of these visits were during our trip to Washington State in July 2022, which lasted three weeks. We decided to stay in one place for a while, spending several nights in each location, including four nights in Forks, WA.
On our first full day there, we visited Rialto Beach in the late afternoon, hoping to catch a beautiful sunset. As we walked north along the beach, we found various subjects to photograph. Eventually, we reached a point where we could not continue, especially at high tide. At that end of the beach, the wind picked up, bringing in a lot of sea mist that rolled ashore. Although we didn’t get the colorful sunset we had hoped for, we still enjoyed our visit.
