In high school I had every intention of becoming a Marine Biologist. But sophomore year, I took a photography class, and it was like a lightning strike the first time I saw that image in the developer appear. I was so fortunate to have a teacher who was an extraordinary person and encouraged me to push boundaries. And so, I studied photography in college - then joined the US Army as a combat photographer. It's been a lifelong passion ever since.

As a veteran, I have turned to more peaceful images in order to bring much needed beauty to the world. This is therapy on so many levels.
