On my second visit to Toroweap—the first being more of a scouting mission and a getaway from the hustle and bustle, and less about photography—I made this image at my final sunset. I spent the following hours catching many large scorpions, to the disgust of nearby campers. Learning that massive scorpions are lurking just feet away from your tent is unsettling for some folks, I guess.
