I had been to this park many times. The path beside the river offers many photo opportunities. On this day, I went looking for some autumn scenes. The path was full of fallen leaves, which added color. The river was running full, with many ducks enjoying the water.

When I spotted this composition, I knew I had found what I was looking for. After walking around a little, I chose the river’s edge. Seeing the water flowing by and the leaves in full color covering the rocky shore, I set up my Canon 6D Mark II on the tripod. Looking through the 24-105 lens, I knew a long exposure would be required. After attaching a polarizer filter, I focused on the image, adjusted my settings, and took the shot.
