Tucked deep within the heart of the Azores, this image captures the quiet majesty of a hidden woodland stream, veiled in emerald moss and bathed in golden morning light. I didn’t set out to find this place. It began as a casual exploration — just a walk through a seemingly ordinary forest trail. As I wandered deeper, the soft sound of trickling water caught my attention. Curious, I followed the stream, hopping over roots and ducking under branches, letting the sound guide me. The forest slowly transformed — denser, greener, quieter — until I arrived at this magical scene.
I stood still for a moment, letting the hush of nature wash over me. Then I set up my camera, took a short-long exposure to honour the gentle flow of the water, and captured this fleeting moment of wild serenity.
