Tucked deep within the heart of the Azores, this image captures the quiet majesty of a hidden woodland stream, veiled in emerald moss and bathed in golden morning light. Water tumbles gently over ancient rocks, weaving through the landscape like veins of liquid silver. The scene is serene, untouched, and alive with subtle movement and texture — a perfect harmony between water, stone, and forest.

I didn’t set out to find this place. It began as a casual exploration — just a walk through a seemingly ordinary forest trail. As I wandered deeper, the soft sound of trickling water caught my attention. Curious, I followed the stream, hopping over roots and ducking under branches, letting the sound guide me. The forest slowly transformed — denser, greener, quieter — until I arrived at this magical scene.

I stood still for a moment, letting the hush of nature wash over me. Then I set up my camera, took a short-long exposure to honour the gentle flow of the water, and captured this fleeting moment of wild serenity. Sometimes, the most beautiful discoveries come when you simply follow where nature leads.
