Torre del Lago is famous for being the summer home of Giacomo Puccini.
In this photograph, we are on the opposite side of his home, in Massaciuccoli to be precise, where the Italian League for Bird Protection (LIPU) has installed observation posts and huts for waterfowl, wading birds, and other birds.
The two structures I’ve called benches are moorings for the boats that cruise the lake.
The story is simple: a friend invited me, saying it could be an interesting spot at sunset, photographically speaking, so we grabbed a tripod and equipment and set off to see what was interesting.
What you see is one of the photographs taken that evening, among good friends, and a few kind words exchanged.
