The Siena area extends from Siena to Radicofani. The first part is called the ‘Crete Senesi’, while the second is called the ‘Val d’Orcia’. I know the entire area very well because I have been leading workshops there for many years.
That November morning, I was looking for a spot suitable for the emerging lighting conditions, and I stopped in front of those two trees. Dawn had already broken, but the light was still interesting. I just had to focus on the composition, and this is the result.
