Long ago, before the charred trees and jagged rocks framed this canyon, the place was known to the local tribes as The Voice of the Mountain. They believed the waterfall was not simply water falling—it was the mountain itself speaking.

Legend said a great guardian spirit lived in the high peaks. Whenever danger threatened the valley—whether storms, famine, or war—the guardian would let its voice be heard through the cascade. The roar of the falls was a warning, a call for the people to gather and prepare.

Centuries ago, a fire swept through the forest. The guardian spirit, unable to save the trees, poured its grief into the river. For three days, the waterfall thundered louder than any storm, and the once-clear skies turned as dark as night. The fire passed, but the forest never returned to its full glory.

Today, hikers who stand at the base of the pool say they can still hear the mountain’s voice—not just in the rushing water, but in the echo that lingers after. Some claim it speaks in words they can’t quite understand, as if the guardian is still watching… still waiting for the next time it must warn the world.
