Thelwood Creek flows into Buttle Lake about a two-hour drive from Campbell River. This area of Strathcona Park is full of photo opportunities. Driving along the shoreline of Buttle Lake in the springtime, you will find many dogwood trees in full blossom—trails leading to waterfalls and snow-capped mountains.
On this day, May 23rd, I went looking for images of the creek in spring colours. It was nice to see that everything had returned to green. As I had been here many times, I knew what I was looking for and where I would have to go to find the composition I needed to create this image.
As I was going to do a long exposure, I set up my camera and lens on my sturdy tripod and adjusted the settings I knew I would need to create this image. I was pleased with the results.
