Rio Grasia Waterfall, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy

Hidden in the untamed heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Rio Grasia waterfall feels like a secret whispered by nature. I visited in autumn, when the forest floor is carpeted with fallen leaves, their colours at their richest and most poetic. I had been searching for new locations to tell through my landscape photography, and this region—often overlooked and still wild—captured my curiosity.

What surprised me was its accessibility; reaching the falls was not difficult, yet I spent the entire day without encountering a single person. The solitude made the experience even more profound. Standing there, surrounded by the sound of cascading water and the gentle rustle of leaves, I felt a deep sense of peace. It was a place where time seemed to slow, allowing me to photograph with complete calm, fully immersed in the beauty of the moment.
