The story of this monochrome picture of a curved path of reeds in Lake Skadar, Montenegro, is about how to get a good shot from a small motorboat while standing as the boat moves into the curve.
I wanted this picture because the curved path of the reeds presented, at least to me, an opportunity for beauty. So the path I took was the path of a photographer “chicken,” so to speak. I simply raised the shutter speed instead of relying on the camera’s anti-shake capabilities. I am sure I could have shot it at a much lower speed.
