On this day, the morning mist rolled into the Courtenay River estuary. Through the mist, I saw the trees protruding into the river as I had not seen before. As it was a calm day, the water was still, which gave a nice reflection. Also, the fall colors of the trees were subdued by the mist. Very interesting. The overall composition looked to me like it would make a fine art print. So, with my camera in hand, I set up my gear, focused the image, and took the shot.
Seeing it in Lightroom reinforced my feelings. As I processed this image, I became even more convinced that I had captured a great scene.
