While skiing at Whitefish, Montana, we decided to take a day off from skiing and drove to Glacier National Park. Despite only 11 miles of Going to the Sun Road being open, it led us to the serene McDonald Lake.

The lake, smooth as glass, provided the perfect backdrop for my photos. The best part of the trip was the unique experience of visiting during the off-peak season, with the park almost to ourselves and plenty of pullouts to stop, get out, and walk to the lake without navigating through hordes of tourists.
