Along the valley of the River Kander, west of the Jungfrau massif, the Kandersteg valley offers spectacular mountain vistas, green pastures with dairy cows, and conifer forests.
Walking through the site last September on a beautiful afternoon, I was particularly impressed by the light green pastures and the patches of dark green forests, mainly composed of conifers, as well as the interplay of light and shadow. A peaceful atmosphere emanated from the site.
Four images taken against the light, positioned side-by-side, were stitched together to create this panorama. The camera was set to manual mode and mounted on a tripod. Post-processing was minimal.
