It was late afternoon on a late winter day in Glacier National Park on the shore of Lake MacDonald. The lake’s surface featured some soft ripples, which I wanted to capture with a slightly slow shutter speed (1/30th sec). A circular polarizing filter was used, but not fully engaged—just enough to remove the sharpest glare.
