Iceberg Detail, St George Peninsula, Antarctica

Daily, twice-daily excursions on Zodiac vessels took us to multiple icebergs, each more magnificent than the other. The serene, quietude, and stillness experienced when the motors were off allowed one to experience the beauty and inspiring sights of each location.

A very large iceberg was ahead, and as we got closer, details of the structure became more pronounced. Through the camera lens, at 300mm, I framed this image of the curtains of life with magical, unmanipulated colors and textures. The feelings were intense as the iceberg drifted by and the camera lens returned to its basic frame size. On to the next experience! Never to be forgotten!
