This was on my trip to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar in Tibet Autonomous Region, China.

One of the highlights of the trip is the 53 km (33 miles) hike around Mount Kailash. The trek usually begins and ends at Darchen, a small outpost located at an elevation of 4,670 m (15,320 ft), with the highest point at the Drölma pass situated at 5,650 m (18,540 ft).

The photo was taken at the first overnight stop at a location close to 16000 feet above MSL. The combination of first light lighting up the mountain top, glowing fast-moving clouds, and bottom layers of the mountain still in shadows created a spectacular view.
