What a special sunset that was. I was hiking through Bardenas Reales the whole day and was getting tired late in the afternoon, and the weather was becoming cloudier by the minute. The next thing I knew, the sky was completely covered in clouds, winds started to pick up, and the pleasant day turned moody really quickly. All the other visitors left the place as well.
But me, having quite the issues usually when it comes to patience and waiting on better conditions, this time went against my internal compass and felt the need to wait a bit until sunset. I saw a little gap on the horizon and thought to myself, this might be promising. So I waited a good hour, maybe even two, until sunset—and then the show started… I was rewarded with amazing colours, still moody but also so spectacular that it made my last day at Bardenas Reales truly unforgettable.
