Brandon Bay is a large open bay on Ireland’s west coast situated on the northern side of the Dingle peninsula and at the foot of Brandon Mountain.
We set off very early, at 4am, to be at sunrise on Brandon Bay beach that morning, which we reached by crossing a meadow occupied by sheep. For that sequence of blue, then golden hour until sunrise, the dawning dawn, the mist and the threatening clouds have offered us beautiful lights and strong contrasts.
I particularly love those moments at sunrise when the silence is only broken by the sound of the waves and the wind. Invigorating!
