Double Moonbow Over Yosemite Falls, California, USA

In the months of May, June, and July, the full moon is perpendicular to Yosemite Falls. On a clear night, after a short hike from the Lodge parking lot, you get to the viewpoint for the Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls.

While fighting the crowds and the moisture from the spray (a lens drying cloth is recommended along with a lens rain protector!), you can detect a faint and rather unimpressive rainbow. The camera sensor is way more sensitive than your eyes!

The delight and joy of a night’s work often occur during post-processing. One must not be discouraged on the field!! Appropriate Noise reduction is also needed to sharpen the image.
