What an incredible experience it was to photograph Gljufrabui Falls, which is hidden inside a cave. The weather outside was cool in September, and while I was dressed for the exterior conditions, the cave itself was icy cold. I had to carefully navigate the slippery rocks, which were covered in algae, making it challenging to maintain my footing.

The mist from the powerful falls was so thick that it felt tangible, running down my face and into my eyes, making it extremely difficult to capture the majesty of the falls. I needed to get up close to minimize distractions, as others had the same idea.

Managing the lighting was also challenging, and I had to be careful to avoid overexposure. I set up my tripod, hoping I wouldn’t lose it if it slipped on the rocks. I had to make my shot quickly because my fingers were frozen and my teeth were chattering. It truly was a ‘bucket list experience’!
