This image was captured for a memorial ebook dedicated to honoring the memory of another photographer. His final project focused on observing the skies from his home. We were tasked with capturing images that reflected the spirit of that project from our own locations.
Behind my home, there is a peak called Mount Si. One morning, I woke up to find a beautiful scene: a mixture of mist and low clouds clung to and drifted across the mountain slope and the saddle between two of its peaks. As the sun broke over the crest, it cast rays and long shadows while also illuminating the low atmosphere. Although this is not the image chosen for the project, it is another capture from just a few moments earlier.
