For a long time, I wanted to get a nice cotton grass shot, ideally in the morning light in a moorland. I am currently working on a bigger moor project. However, most often, the weather was not right, or the grass did not show many of its nice cotton balls.
This year, in Upper Bavaria, some of the moorlands show a particularly high number of cottongrass plants in good shape; I visited this renatured moor several times, and one morning, the conditions were perfect since some fog smoothed the morning light.
