It was a cold morning with snow forecasted for Red Rock Canyon. I’d been keeping an eye on the skies, waiting for the clouds to start breaking. As soon as they did, I packed up my gear—a camera backpack with my camera, favorite lenses, and a tripod secured to the side.
The drive to the canyon takes about 30 minutes from Las Vegas, Nevada. I’m always drawn to the area to chase the light and the dramatic skies against the rugged Spring Mountains.
When I arrived, I saw the majestic mountains rising up under a threatening sky, capturing the raw beauty and power of nature. The peaks were partially hidden in fog, adding a mysterious quality to the scene.
