The light was a bit harsh to take any reasonable landscape picture at the time we arrived at the lake. However, the underwater reflection near the shores had an element of abstractness to it. This prompted me to take a couple of snaps.

Rainbow Over Safflowers, Bozeman, Gallatin, MT, USA copy

I photographed this field across from my house in Bozeman. It used to be just another farm field, but a couple of years ago, the field became the property of MSU. They use it for agricultural research. It has always been a ‘rainbow factory’. This is just one of many, many rainbows I’ve photographed over […]

What drew me […]

Sun Star And Wizards Hat, Face Rock Beach, Bandon, Oregon, USA

I almost missed this shot. It looked like a shutdown during an overcast sunset. There was no color in the sky with only minutes until official sunset, and I had given up and gone to sit on a log and just take in the scenery. I left my camera on the tripod ready to go, […]

Amazing Field Lines, St Gery Midi Pyremees, France copy

For such an endeavor, minimizing luggage weight is paramount, so I limited my photography equipment to one camera, two lenses, and several memory cards. In 35mm terms, I carried a 24-200mm F4 lens and a 50mm F1.4. […]
