Sunrise Over Kanchenjunga Range, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India
Must have been a few minutes after sunrise. What strikes you is the sudden lighting of the top of the mountain range while the layers below are still in darkness. The town of Darjeeling is at the lower left of the image. The climbers’ route is over the ridgeline in shadow, right behind the summit.
