My wife and I visited Santorini, a picturesque Greek island that forms one edge of a mostly submerged caldera. We stayed in Fira, one of the towns perched above the caldera. As we walked around Fira I looked for vantage points from which I might photograph the town and caldera.
A little before sunset, I went to an overlook above Fira to photograph the sun setting across the caldera and Fira during the blue hour. I captured many images of Fira as the sky darkened and the town’s lights brightened. This was my favorite blue-hour photo of Fira.
